May Golf Weather Impact: Flat backdrop to COVID changes in demand
May’s weather impact held steady in May which basically takes it out as a demand factor for the month in the COVID era as Golf Playable Hours (GPH) were down 1% nationally.
Played Rounds for April published by Golf Datatech showed the first full-month of the COVID restrictions with a whopping 42% drop compared to Apr ’19 vastly exceeding the previously-reported 6% GPH drop contribution. For the year they’re reporting -16% against our +4% GPH.
