The International Network of Golf announces the election of five new advisory board members by the membership. Elected to three-year terms were Steve Asman, CEO of Gustbuster/Sunbuster; George Baker, CEO of Razor Golf; and Ron Garl of Ron Garl Golf Course Design. Two of the elected — Melissa Suttles, general manager of Mystic Dunes Golf Club in Celebration, Fla., and John Johnson, president of Johnson Design Golf Marketing — will be filling the uncompleted terms of previous advisory board members.

King named captain for 2007 U.S. Solheim Cup Team
LPGA Tour and World Golf Hall of Fame member Betsy King has been unanimously selected as captain of the U.S. Solheim Cup team that will compete in 2007 in Sweden. King, a 29-year member of the LPGA Tour with 34 victories to her credit, was named captain by a five-member selection committee formed by the LPGA board of directors. Beth Daniel will serve as assistant captain.
