Peachtree Corners, Ga. – In-person training during the 2023 PGA Show, along with four online virtual seminars in December and January, highlight upcoming opportunities for golf coaches to earn certification from U.S. Kids Golf.
“We are pleased to again offer training for golf professionals and coaches attending the PGA Show, where we also recognize our U.S. Kids Golf Top 50 Kids Coaches,” said Dan Van Horn, President, and Founder. “At the same time, our virtual seminars have opened up the entire world to our training enabling us to provide education and resources to golf coaches worldwide. Accordingly, we will continue to provide those opportunities as well.”
Coach 1 certification provides foundational training that details basic principles for coaching juniors, focusing on six key elements specific to coaching young golfers.
Coach 2 certification trains coaches how to identify and offer coaching based on the individual student’s personality motivators, providing students with a learning environment that is engaging. Coaches are provided an in-depth look into how to utilize the U.S. Kids Golf Player Pathway curriculum which offers cognitive scaffolding and allows players to achieve ongoing success based on their abilities.
In presenting nearly 250 seminars since 2012, with almost 7000 coaches participating from over 70 countries, U.S. Kids Golf has developed a true worldwide network of coaches dedicated to improving the experience of young golfers learning the game.
