Perception vs Reality– Breaking with Tradition
Attendees at this year’s PGA Merchandise Show are invited to attend a lively panel discussion using clips and topics taken from a recently released film, Breaking with Tradition that examines the relationship between women and golf at every level of the game. Other major announcements at the show will include the first significant change to the structure of Women’s Golf Day since its launch, as it becomes a weeklong celebration. Locations are now able to host an official WGD event on any day from May 30th to June 6th.
The WGD panel will be moderated by Founder of Women’s Golf Day, Elisa Gaudet and include speakers from The PGA, PGA TOUR Superstore, The R&A, Titleist / FootJoy, Callaway and The USGA. Register your interest in attending the panel here: PGA Show 2023 – Womens Golf Day
The topics to be discussed are Connection, What’s Holding Women Back and Brands. The film written by Nicole Wheatley, who will be in attendance, and produced by Sandra Mesrine looks at what has changed for women in golf and highlights the changes that can foster a more inviting environment and generate more interest and revenue for golf courses.
We will discuss best practices that have helped equal the playing field and create positive change. Females are economic influencers so the industry will benefit from working harder to accommodate them, and their as friends and family. And finally, what can we do to encourage more women to enter the golf industry work force.
Elisa will also be speaking at the NGCOA Golf Business Conference 2023 lunch on Tuesday January 24th details of which can be found here: Golf Business Conference 2023 | Brought to you by NGCOA
The 2022 Women’s Golf Day Inspire Action Awards, which are presented annually to people and locations who actively support and promote the women’s game, will also be announced at the PGA Show on Tuesday January 26th.
