Swedish-Developed deWiz Delivers Revolutionary Wearable Technology that Help Golfers Improve More Quickly
Malmö, Sweden: The PGA of Sweden has named deWiz Golf as its latest Official Product, adding deWiz’s revolutionary approach as the world’s first biofeedback swing modifier to the PGA’s roster of Swedish-developed golf products. Launched this summer, deWiz is a new wearable technology that combines high-precision data of a golfer’s swing and real-time biometric feedback to increase a golfer’s pace of learning.
Markus Westerberg, co-founder and CTO of deWiz Golf:
“As a longtime PGA-certified teacher, it is with great pride that we partner with the PGA of Sweden by establishing deWiz as an Official Product. deWiz is breaking new ground with accurate swing analysis, unique data like length of backswing and a neuroscientific approach utilizing our patented Learning Stimuli feedback, all of which delivers a data-driven platform to help golfers improve – at all levels. deWiz provides a high-tech approach to understanding a golfer’s swing, and as a versatile wearable technology, it can be used on the range, on the course, indoors or really anywhere a golfer can take a swing.”
Johan Hampf, CEO, PGA of Sweden:
“Player development, and to make golfers enjoy the game and play more, are a few of PGA of Sweden´s main objectives. We focus on a number of different areas with education and working with strong partners being two of the most important areas. Always with high standards, quality and the best interest of the game in mind, we are very proud to partner with deWiz. It is a high-quality product that fits perfect with our overall goals. It is a great support tool for our PGA Professionals in their work to help golfers with their golf swing performance. And deWiz offers golfers a way to get valuable feedback regarding their golf swing, which will support both learning swing changes faster and making practice more fun. We welcome deWiz into the PGA of Sweden family.”
Westerberg, a member of the PGA of Sweden since 1994, and fellow deWiz senior executives will be onsite at the PGA of Sweden’s Networking Summit in Halmstad from Oct 27-29 to provide PGA professionals a first-look at the technology, providing demos and onboarding sessions. Opportunities to join deWiz as a certified instructor or deWiz Learning Center, as well as distribution models, can be explored at the Networking Summit. Debuting this summer, deWiz’s introduction has already created a “buzz” with it being described by Forbes as looking to bring a “jolt to the golf training aid market;” profiled in Sweden’s leading financial media, Dagens Industri ; featured in Sport Techie’s Startups series; and showcased by Global Golf Post.
DEVELOPED BY EXPERTS, TESTED BY PROS: deWiz’s has been under development for more than five years and has attracted an impressive list of ambassadors, including Bryson DeChambeau, U.S. Open champion from 2020; Annika Sorenstam, 10-time major-champion; Vijay Singh, 3-time major-champion; Lydia Ko, 2-time major champion; 2016 Open-champion Henrik Stenson; 2019 Houston Open-champion Lanto Griffin; and 2-time world champion in long drive, Tim Burke. deWiz ‘user-friendly app and wearable technology tracks the exact position of a golfer’s hands throughout the swing, providing a 3D analysis and delivers data showing Transition, Backswing Length, Wedge Distance and Tempo. These unique deWiz data points provide measurable values that any avid golfer, professional teacher or world-class player can use to effectively refine their swing.
