Korn Ferry Tour Stages First Televised Event Since January with Utah Championship Airing Thursday-Sunday Live on GOLF Channel
Encore Final Rounds of KPMG Women’s PGA Championship Airing Thursday-Sunday on GOLF Channel and NBC
ORLANDO, Fla., – Coming off victories by Daniel Berger and Webb Simpson over the past two weeks, the PGA TOUR continues Thursday with the Travelers Championship from Cromwell, Conn. GOLF Channel will carry live tournament and on-site news coverage Thursday-Sunday, including Golf Central originating from TPC River Highlands. Live tournament coverage will utilize a unified CBS Sports and GOLF Channel linear broadcast production, with the same production and similar announce teams being utilized for Thursday and Friday’s coverage on GOLF Channel also working Saturday and Sunday on CBS.
In addition to the Travelers Championship, GOLF Channel also will air live coverage of the Utah Championship Thursday-Sunday, the Korn Ferry Tour’s first televised event since January.
NBC Sports also will celebrate the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, originally scheduled to take place this week. GOLF Channel and NBC will combine to air encore final round broadcasts of the event from 2016-’19. The encore airings on NBC will be hosted by NBC Sports’ Dan Hicks and feature enhanced interviews with players recounting their respective paths to victory. The 2020 edition of the event has been rescheduled and is currently slated to be contested Oct. 8-11 at Aronimink Golf Club outside of Philadelphia.

Korn Ferry Tour stages first televised event since January: The Korn Ferry Tour stages the Utah Championship beginning Thursday, the Tour’s third event in as many weeks following a 14-week hiatus due to COVID-19. This week also marks the first televised event for the Tour since January. The previous two weeks saw Luke List and Chris Kirk earn victories at events that were both contested in Northeast Florida, as the Korn Ferry Tour returned to competition as part of what will now be staged as a combined 2020-’21 season.
