PGA TOUR Legend Jay Haas headlines inaugural event
Want to take your golf game to the next level? Primland is joining forces with two generations of golf professionals from the Haas family to host its inaugural Haas School of Golf on Sept. 7, 2019. Headlined by Jay Haas, PGA TOUR Champion and Primland Ambassador, the Haas School of Golf is a family affair with Jerry Haas, Wake Forest Men’s Golf Coach and Jay Haas Jr., teaching professional, onsite at the resort for an informative and fun day of personalized instruction on The Highland Course at Primland.
“Primland is the perfect backdrop to teach, learn and enjoy the game of golf,” said Jay Haas. “I’ve partnered with some of my favorite instructors to build out a full day of education and fun. Our goal is to put amateur players on a path to improvement with personalized instruction and a renewed interest in the game.”
The Haas School of Golf gives players the opportunity to enhance their skills with playing tips and personalized lessons from some of the top instructors in the business. The event includes a 9-hole playing lesson on the Donald Steel-designed Highland Course in the morning, followed by dedicated instructional skills stations in the afternoon. Breakfast, lunch and cocktail hour with the pros following the event are included in the entry fee, which his $575 per person. Lodging accommodations are available at a 10 percent discount for overnight guests who are participating in the event.
The 18-hole Highland Course at Primland attracts players of all ages and skill levels. The course was recently ranked No. 30 by Golf Digest in the publication’s 2019-2020 list of America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses and No. 42 in Golfweek’s 2019 list of Top 200 Best Courses You Can Play. A course carved from the natural landscape of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains, players return time again to take in The Highland Course’s compelling design and natural beauty.
