The KPMG Women’s PGA Championship from Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, N.J., headlines this week’s golf coverage across five tournaments on NBC, Peacock and GOLF Channel.
PGA OF AMERICA: KPMG WOMEN’S PGA CHAMPIONSHIP
The KPMG Women’s PGA Championship will be held at Baltusrol Golf Club’s Lower Course in Springfield, New Jersey, this week. This will mark the first time this tournament will be played on the Lower Course, which previously hosted the 1961 U.S. Women’s Open, while the Upper Course hosted the 1985 U.S. Women’s Open. In Gee Chun looks to defend her 2022 title.
A record 26 hours of coverage of the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship will be presented across NBC, Peacock and GOLF Channel – nearly double the amount of championship coverage last year. Live coverage begins tomorrow at 11 a.m. ET on Peacock and GOLF Channel before moving exclusively to Peacock from 5-7 p.m. ET. On Sunday evening, Callaway will present uninterrupted coverage during the final hour of play on NBC and Peacock, as the pivotal shots are made down the stretch at Baltusrol Golf Club to determine the winner of the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. PGA TOUR: TRAVELERS CHAMPIONSHIP
The PGA TOUR heads to TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Conn., this week for the Travelers Championship. A designated event this year, the tournament offers an increased purse of $20 million, with $3.6 million and 500 FedExCup points going to the winner. Current World No. 6 Xander Schauffele looks to defend his 2022 title. Eight of the top ten players in the World Golf Rankings are expected to compete, as well as last week’s U.S. Open winner, Wyndham Clark.
