Master Minds #1, hosted by smbGOLF’s Mike Hendrix, invites every PGO golf course member to join the conversation
YORK, Pa. – The Pennsylvania Golf Course Owners Association (PGO) will hold its Fall Conference October 5–6, 2026, at Out Door Country Club in York, Pa. The two-day event includes the Crystal Cup golf outing, the PGO Annual Dinner, a keynote presentation, and two Master Minds sessions.
Master Minds #1: Technology & AI takes place Tuesday, October 6, at 11:00 a.m. The session will be an open town hall hosted by Mike Hendrix, founder and president of smbGOLF and technology advisor to the PGO. It is built as a conversation rather than a presentation, and it is designed for every golf course member of the PGO. Attendees are encouraged to bring questions, share what is working (and what isn’t) at their courses, and learn from their peers. The format is meant for operators just getting started with new technology and AI as well as those already using it.
Throughout the session, Hendrix will share real examples from golf courses across Pennsylvania and neighboring states that show what is working well in the industry, and how operators can shift existing technology dollars toward a stronger return on investment.
“Every golf course is being pitched new technology and AI right now, and the people best qualified to say what actually works are the operators running these businesses every day,” said Hendrix. “This town hall belongs to them. I’m looking forward to an engaging session and to hearing directly from the operators who use technology every day to run their businesses: what’s saving them time, what’s driving revenue, and what hasn’t lived up to the hype.”
