The PGTAA Gains Popularity and Recognition amongst PGA/Champions Tour Players
Earning acknowledgement as the premier teaching certification in the world, the PGTAA is excited to celebrate another record year of student enrollments, graduates and Tour Players
In the United States, more than 23.82 million people play golf. This number represents men, women, and children in all age groups. Since the 1920s, the sport has grown and is now, not only a popular recreational activity, but also a major economic juggernaut, sport with a significant reach all over the world.
While playing golf is a favorite pastime for many, others take it even further by learning how to teach the greatest game in the world. After 21 years in business, the Professional Golf Teachers Association of America (PGTAA) has been acknowledged and accepted by PGA Tour players, and also by Champions Tour players, alike.
Today, the PGTAA, (www.pgtaa.com) is considered the sole provider of the premier golf instruction certification in the world, with its comprehensive curriculum devoted 100 percent to teaching, versus golf career colleges, universities, and the PGA’s curriculum (10% teaching).
“At the PGTAA, we are excited about another record year for student enrollment and graduation and encourage anyone who wants to learn to teach golf to reach out to us,” stated PGTAA President Dr. Barry Lotz. “We have worked hard to create our world-class curriculum, and many of our members are recognized and being hired by premier country clubs, resort communities, teaching schools, universities and resort communities. www.pgtaa.com/testimonials/
Dr. Lotz is the main architect of the curriculum, and his golf experience is as broad as it is deep. He is a contributing writer to more than 15 different media outlets on topics such as golf travel, golf equipment, mental coaching and other aspects of this sport, and he currently serves as a private coach for many of the world’s top professional golfers.
Dr. Lotz’s book, “The Right Mind for Golf”, now in its seventh printing, can be found at Torrey Pines Golf Course, Amazon and golf teaching academies such as David Leadbetter and Gary Gilchrist, as well as in the golf bags of numerous Tour players.
The PGTAA offers a Home Study Course (ww.pgtaa.com/product/home-studycourse-professional-golf-teaching/) and an OPTIONAL five-day Onsite course for those Home Study graduates seeking hands-on instruction.
“Due to our huge success, we are planning to expand our services into China and Canada in 2019,” continued Dr. Lotz. “We encourage anyone who wants to become a certified professional golf teacher to contact Dr. Lotz. We’re here to provide the most comprehensive training available today.”
There are also onsite courses held regularly around the world for graduates of the Home Study course. Learn more about the teaching courses offered by the PGTAA by visiting the company’s website at PGTAA.com
