LAKE PARK, FLORIDA — Phillis Meti, the undisputed “greatest of all time” in Women’s Long Drive, has joined Team JumboMax.
Meti is a four-time winner of the Women’s World Long Drive Championship (2006, 2016, 2018 and 2022) and is currently No. 2 in the Women’s World Long Drive Rankings.
“Phillis saw other long drivers switching to JumboMax Grips and getting longer, and she didn’t want to lose her edge,” said JumboMax President John Mazzanoble. “JumboMax Grips helped her get longer, too, but what surprised her the most was how much control she gained. Once she saw that, she was on board.”
Meti was the youngest WLD Champion in history (19 years and 3 months) and is the world record holder for a woman’s longest drive (414 yards). She is using JumboMax JMX Zen Lite Standard Oversize grips on her clubs.
“JumboMax Grips fill my hand perfectly and I have much more stability through the ball, which is something I have always struggled with,” Meti said. “I’m super excited to be using these grips in competition to gain an edge!”
