THE GOLF CLUB AT LANSDOWNE UNVEILS NEWLY RENOVATED RESTAURANT & PUB
Leesburg, Va. (March 15, 2019) – The Golf Club at Lansdowne unveiled its newly renovated restaurant, Piedmont’s at a grand re-opening party for club members on March 15th. The exclusive restaurant is located in The Golf Club at Lansdowne’s 43,000 square-foot clubhouse and is open to club members and Lansdowne Resort and Spa resort guests only. Located in the beautiful Piedmont region of Virginia, Piedmont’soverlooks The Golf Club at Lansdowne’s Greg Norman Golf Course and expansive practice facilities, the scenery emulating the gentle slopes represented in the restaurant’s name.
New York-based design firm, Wilson Associates took the previous traditionally-designed food and beverage operation and transformed it into a new, contemporary and practical eatery. The newly designed Piedmont’s has a modern feel with grey tones contrasted with white walls. New chandeliers and booth seating offer a relaxed and comfortable feel, while two 10-foot diameter round tables in the center of the restaurant can seat up to 20 guests each for group dinners.
The menu at Piedmont’s has also been modernized and the edition of a new Harmony concept focused on wellness that includes a selection of salads and sustainably-sourced seafood, while also offering locally-inspired selections from the Piedmont and Tidewater regions of Virginia.
A focal point of the Piedmont’s renovation is the new communal bar or pub with balcony seating and a new terrace bar rail with incredible golf course views and its own exclusive bar menu. Additionally, televisions have been added inside and out, and a new kitchen entrance will allow for more efficient service.
“We were inspired by a classic English clubhouse as the refreshed interior now blends contemporary bespoke lighting and modern details in the furnishings, millwork and new flooring,” said May Landau, design director, Wilson Associates. “Using the existing architectural structure, our design team updated the spaces with new wallcoverings, paint, wood stain, furniture and lighting selections throughout Piedmont’s Table.”
The Piedmont’s renovations continue a steady stream of enhancements and improvements since Dejia LLC acquired the property in early 2017.
