The “Other” Pinehurst Featured In December Episode of Traveling Golfer TV Show
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Pinehurst is one of the most iconic names in the world of golf. After all, it was the home of prolific golf course architect Donald Ross.
Most golfer are very familiar with Pinehurst Resort … but there also is the “other” Pinehurst … the one that is different … the one that is more affordable, yet equally exciting.
That “other” Pinehurst is the focus of the December episode of the award-winning Traveling Golfer television show.
Three courses – Talamore Resort, Legacy Golf Links and Tobacco Road – form the foundation for this very interesting look at the Greater Pinehurst area. And viewers also will see an entertaining look at the lifestyle of the Sandhills Region, with a taste test of some of the off-the-beaten path eateries in the area.
“The Pinehurst area is so large that it invites exploration by visiting golfers,” explains Traveling Golfer host Tony Leodora. “And the more they explore, the more they will discover that there is a lot more than immediately meets the eye.”
The December episode of the Traveling Golfer is a great review of three outstanding courses – Talamore Resort, designed by Rees Jones; Legacy Golf Links, designed by Jack Nicklaus II, and Tobacco Road, designed by Mike Strantz. Add an offbeat culinary look at the area – providing a mouth-watering sampling of unique sandwiches, traditional barbecue and bountiful breakfasts.
“This isn’t the tourist brochure look at the Pinehurst area,” says Leodora. “It’s an insider’s guide – the kind that is packed with information that usually takes years to accumulate.”
