PING names Top 100 National Fitters of the Year
Continuing its long tradition of recognizing club-fitters who elevate the custom-fitting experience, PING today announced its Top 100 Fitters for 2018. PING honors those facilities that emphasize the importance of accurate fitting to golfers of all ability levels.
“It’s clear from the countless fittings we’ve done over the years and our studies that professionally fit PING equipment leads to lower scores and more-satisfying rounds,” said John K. Solheim, PING President. “Our Fitters of the Year experience this firsthand every day: As our fitting technologies and practices and our clubs continue to evolve, we see eye-opening improvement in performance across the board, from beginners to scratch players to tour pros. The ball goes farther and flies straighter shot after shot. When there’s a synergy between the player and their clubs the game becomes easier, and that’s what these elite fitters make possible for PING customers.”
Solheim said PING values Top 100 honorees for their ability to help grow the game by promoting the benefits of custom fitting to players who are new to the experience. “Some golfers feel they’re not good enough for a custom fitting, or they don’t see the need. But when these highly trained fitters dial-in the proper specs and the player sees improvement on the very first shot, that’s a thrill that wins them over,” Solheim said. “When you’re suddenly hitting one solid shot after another, your confidence soars and you’re excited for your next round. You can see what’s possible because now you’re getting more from every club in your bag. A fitter and the golfer working together made that happen.”
