Congratulations to George Pinnell of the George Pinnell Golf Academy for his long-time student’s win in the USGA Women’s Amateur this past weekend. He gave her his Putting Arc when she was 15 and she became the #1 junior golfer in the world, the AJGA Player of the Year and she is now a USGA National Champion. Her third shot on 18 was from deep rough to a tough pin for a gimmee par to tie the hole and force a playoff. It will arguably be one of the best TV golf shots of 2020!
Congratulations also to Danielle Kang for her second straight win at the LPGA Tour’s Marathon Classic, and to Chad Ramey for his T2 finish at the Korn Ferry Tour’s Winco Foods Portland Open. Chad played college golf at Mississippi State and still holds the scoring record at Old Waverly Golf Club.
