ALBANY, NY. – Kay McMahon, President of eduKaytion Golf and creator of Golf 8.5, announces the official launch of her new YouTube Channel – “Heads Up Golf with Kay” – with her first interview and featured guest, LPGA Commissioner, Mollie Marcoux Samaan.
Mollie Marcoux Samaan, a self-described lifelong LPGA “super fan,” became the LPGA’s ninth commissioner replacing Mike Wahn last year. Not only is the LPGA Tour’s 2022 season kicking-off under new leadership, but the LPGA also has a new venue and title sponsor for its first event of the year, The Tournament of Champions.
The LPGA recently announced a multi-year partnership with Hilton Grand Vacations (HGV) reflecting the acquisition of the former sponsor of the event, Diamond Resorts, along with a significant increase in the tournament’s purse.
Hilton Grand Resorts Tournament of Champions will be held January 20-23rd at the renowned Lake Nona Golf and Country Club, in Lake Nona, FL. Nicknamed the LPGA’s “Party on Tour,” the tournament’s distinctive format brings LPGA Tour Champions from 2021 together with over 50 beloved celebrities, athletes, and entertainers to play side-by-side for an event unlike any other.
McMahon has been an active member of the LPGA Professionals since 1979 and has been teaching golf for more than 30 years. In 2002, she established eduKaytion Golf based in Albany, N.Y. and Orlando, Fla. She is the creator and innovator of Golf 8.5 – a simple approach to learning and improving your golf swing and has been recognized as one of the Top 50 LPGA Teachers for 2022-2023.
“The LPGA Tour is in very good hands,” said McMahon. “Mollie Marcoux Samaan’s business savvy, athletic background, sense of humor, and true love of the game as an amateur golfer will continue to foster a creative and innovative work environment that will lead to new opportunities for women’s golf and the future growth of the LPGA Tour.”
“Heads Up Golf with Kay” will feature interviews with players, celebrities, and well-known influencers in golf.
