HEATHROW, FL – Thought leaders, business innovators and golf academy entrepreneurs have taken the stage at Proponent Group gatherings for two decades now, mic’d up and with cameras rolling. The result is an unmatched archive of nearly 300 video presentations that a Proponent member coach can access on demand on the company’s member-only website.
Along with the vintage nature of some older taped presentations, production values were less than optimal, opening the door for cleanup and re-editing with the use of digital post-production tools developed in recent years.
“Proponent Group’s intellectual property in the form of text and still photography—which itself is vast—has generally taken care of itself,” said company founder Lorin Anderson. “On the video side, we saw a chance to clean up our archive, fixing audio issues, adding title cards and combining segmented presentations into a single video file.”
The company’s Senior Operations Manager, Lori Bombka, ran point on the upgrade effort, which took about six months to complete. Each presentation had to be reviewed and approximately three-quarters of the original files were remastered in some form.
“We know our members love having access to so many useful videos but we also knew that many of those assets were not presented in the best light,” said Bombka. “Now that the renovation work is complete, visiting our video archive is a much more user-friendly experience.”
As a result of all of the upgrades, a valuable and truly one-of-a-kind educational tool will benefit Proponent Group member coaches for long years to come.
