(RIDGEFIELD, Conn.) –The Golf Performance Academy is thrilled to announce that Arabella Lopez, a standout Academy student and member of the graduating class of 2027, has been named the Most Outstanding Athlete of the Year 2024 by the Puerto Rican Golf Federation. Arabella will be recognized at the 58th Olympic Awards Ceremony, to be held at the Royal Sonesta San Juan Hotel on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at 3:00 PM.
Arabella has had an extraordinary year, further solidifying her position as one of golf’s rising stars. Among her numerous accolades, Arabella clinched the 2023 Liz Janangelo Caron Women’s Player of the Year Award and showcased her dominance at the 57th Caribbean Amateur, where she finished an impressive -8 over three rounds. She claimed victory by a staggering 12 strokes, leading Team Puerto Rico to the prestigious George Teale Trophy.
Hailing from Ridgefield, CT, Arabella has been training at The Golf Performance Center since the age of five, consistently honing her skills with the Academy’s expert coaches. Her dedication and perseverance paid off when she earned the title of 2023 Connecticut Women’s Golfer of the Year. Additionally, she dominated the 70th Anniversary Island Women’s Amateur, winning both the women’s and junior titles, even outperforming Division I collegiate golfers.
