Congratulations to Danielle Kang on her stellar play this past weekend at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship, held at Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers, Arkansas. Danielle had an exciting finish to regulation play, holing out from 40 yards for eagle on the last hole and taking lead at -17. Attaya Thitikul followed in Danielle’s steps with a strong finish of birdie on 17 and par on 18 to force a playoff between the two. Attaya birdied the second playoff hole to take first place, landing Danielle a T-2 finish.
Danielle has recently been battling a spinal tumor, so her excellent play in only her third tournament back is admired by all!
Congratulations also to Steve Flesch on his recent win at the PGA Tour Champions Pure Insurance Championship, held at famous Pebble Beach. Steve started his final round with four birdies in the first five holes, then sealed his win with a birdie on his last hole on Sunday to finish at -4 for the tournament. This is Steve’s second PGA Tour Champions win this season.
One final congratulations to the winners of the Southeastern Junior Tour’s recent Sanctuary Junior Classic, which was held at Sanctuary Golf Club in Waverly, Georgia.
Will Harris of Cashiers, North Carolina won the Overall Male Title with rounds of 71-67.
Gabby Hulstrand of Pensacola, Florida won the Overall Female Title with rounds of 72-72.
