This past weekend, the Ladies European Tour hosted the Lacoste Ladies Open de France, held at the Golf Club du Medoc in Le Pian-Medoc, France. Celine Boutier had an opening two rounds of -3, 68 and -5, 66 to hold the lead going into the final round. Celine was able to stay steady on the last day with a tight leaderboard and sunk a birdie putt on her final hole to win by one stroke at -11.
Also, on the PGA Tour Champions, the Sanford International was held at Minnehaha Country Club in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Darren Clarke, Steve Flesch, and K.J. Choi all finished at -12 to finish at T-1 and force a playoff. Darren closed with a birdie on the 54th hole to make the playoff with Steve and K.J., then had another birdie on the second playoff hole to win his third PGA Tour Champions tournament this season!
Last, on August 12th and 13th, the Maple leaf Junior Tour hosted the MJT Edge School Golf Showcase, held at Coyote Creek Golf Course in Sundre, Alberta.
Georgia Barr of Calgary, AB won the Girls 15-19 Division. Georgia is 16 years old and had rounds of 77-70.
Sam Bratvold of Medicine Hat, AB won the Junior Boys Division. Sam is 19 years old and had rounds of 71-73.
