With some clutch putting and ball striking on the back nine, Megan Khang survived sleeping on the lead for two days and late charges from some of the top women golfers in the world, as she claimed a one hole playoff victory over JY Ko for her first LPGA win after 7 1/2 years on tour.
The popularity of this win was evidenced by the celebration on the 18th green as players from 6 or 8 different countries showered her with champagne and congratulated her. Now it is on to the Solheim Cup for this former teen prodigy from Boston.
Congratulations also to Jin Young Ko for her T1-2nd place finish and to Ruoning Yin for her third place finish in this tournament.
