This past week, the LPGA hosted the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational at Midland Country Club in Midland, Michigan. This event included two different formats for team play. Lizette and her partner Jennifer Kupcho carded a 9-under 61 in the final best-ball format to finish five strokes ahead of the field at -26 and win the tournament! The two players are Solheim Cup partners and had an impressive record of 2-0-1 in 2021.
Congratulations also to Kelly Tan. She and her partner Matilda Castren shot a final round of 8-under 62 to finish at -21 and take second place.
One last congratulations to Jerry Kelly on his PGA Tour Champions major win at the Bridgestone Senior Players Championship, held at Firestone Championship South Course in Akron, Ohio! Jerry finished strong with three birdies in his last six holes on Sunday to finish at 11-under for the tournament, two strokes ahead of the field. This is his second Seniors Players Championship in three years!
