Tinley Park, IL: Bettinardi Golf, premier putter manufacturer and inventor of one-piece putter technology, is proud to announce the re-opening of Studio B, their state-of-the-art putter fitting facility, located above their manufacturing center in Tinley Park, IL, just 30 minutes from Downtown Chicago. Studio B and The Hive were shut down March 21st through June 3rd, due to the emergency shelter-in-place order by the state of Illinois, to combat the COVID-19 outbreak.

Bettinardi Golf is excited to announce that they have undergone renovations to Studio B, adding all-new technology and a putting platform to fully implement the Quintic Ball Roll putter system- specifically the Quintic Ball Roll v2.4 software to further expand their proprietary fitting process and extend the capabilities of the V1 Sports 4 Camera system.

Bettinardi Golf’s expert fitters have completed the accreditation program by Quintic to further understand the science behind the interaction of the putter face and impact from the ball. This system includes the latest software required for custom putter fitting. The Quintic USB3 1MP Camera measures the performance of the golf ball throughout the first 20 inches of a putt at 360 frames per second (fps), and the purpose-built LED Bar Light ensures clear and focused images throughout the recording.

Golf enthusiasts from around the world come to Studio B and Bettinardi headquarters throughout the year. Over the past 20 years, Bettinardi Golf has seen an increased demand in consumers requesting putter fittings, and visiting Robert Bettinardi’s physical Hive, where never-before- seen product and putters are on display.

Studio B has also hosted celebrities, professional athletes, and sports teams, who have visited Studio B to improve their golf game and upgrade their putters. Bettinardi Tour staffers, PGA, LPGA, and Korn Ferry Tour players, as well as collegiate players and teams, frequently visit throughout their seasons.

The 2018 Open Champion famously visited Studio B with Robert Bettinardi. Weeks later, he went on a historic run, winning multiple European Tour and PGA Tour events, including capturing the British Open Major Championship in historic fashion, going bogey-free all weekend at Carnoustie. This was the second time a Major Champion traveled to Studio B prior to a PGA Tour event. In 2003, the US Open Champion worked on a new putter with Robert at Bettinardi Golf HQ, which then helped him secure the US Open four days later.

“Studio B has been a crucial part of our business for many years. Adding Quintic will further extend our putter fitting and R&D capabilities. With all of our putters manufactured on the shop floor, having the ability to test immediately from our machines to walking upstairs to our fitting studio provides the absolute best situation to engineer and refine our putters until they’re perfect,” said Sam Bettinardi, Vice President of Bettinardi Golf.

Studio B fittings and Hive requests are by appointment only. The booking process can begin by visiting Bettinardi.com, and filling out the online form here or by calling Bettinardi Golf directly at 708-802-7400.
