CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Rain or Shine Golf, a leading retailer of indoor and outdoor golf simulators, and First Tee of Greater Charlotte have partnered to put on a closest-to-the-pin contest on April 29 at the Pineville Learning Center with prizes including tickets to the May Charlotte PGA TOUR event, launch monitor, golf hitting mat, and more
All golfers in the area can try their hand at getting closest to the pin on one of Quail Hollow’s famed par three holes through Rain or Shine’s top-of-the-line simulator technology set up at the First Tee’s Pineville Learning Center. Hosted from 10 am-3 pm on April 29 alongside spring programming sessions for area youth, the contest will reward the golfer who lands closest to the hole with two any-day passes to the following week’s PGA event at Quail Hollow. Additional winners will be randomly selected from participating entrants, with prizes including a Garmin Approach R10 Launch Monitor, Rukket Premium Sports Golf Net, SwingTurf Hitting Mat, and Exputt Putting Simulator. Chippo is sponsoring a putting contest with an opportunity to win a Chippo Bundle.
“We are thrilled to partner with First Tee of Greater Charlotte to support their mission of impacting the lives of young people in our city through the game of golf,” says Rain or Shine CEO Shawn Foley. “This contest will bring in golfers from around the city to see the tremendous practice facility, and we look forward to continuing our work with the organization moving forward.”
The Charlotte-based company previously helped to outfit the mission-based organization with golf simulators and indoor golf enclosures at its Pineville and Revolution Park learning centers. As a part of an ongoing partnership, Rain or Shine has donated new simulator components and supplied additional training at the center to provide area kids and teens with quality technology to help continue their growth in the game of golf.
“It’s great to work with a local company like Rain or Shine that supports our work in the community,” says First Tee Learning Center General Manager Mark Lathan. “We’re excited to welcome golfers to our learning center and see who can come out on top in the contest.”
