Bringing people together and inspiring children to be healthy and active through sport
St. Louis, Mo., July 1 2020 – Rapsodo, the sports data company known for helping athletes analyze real-time metrics to perfect their game, today announced that they will be donating more than $26k to Right To Play to help protect, educate, and empower children to rise above adversity using the power of play.
Right To Play is an international non-profit organization that empowers vulnerable children to overcome the effects of war, poverty, and disease around the world through play. The donation from Rapsodo will give kids access to quality education through sport and play-based programs.
“We believe sport has the power to unite and bring together people regardless of distance, beliefs or backgrounds,” said Batuhan Okur, founder and CEO of Rapsodo. “We are excited to have a positive impact on children and help provide them an opportunity to enjoy the games we love and to be healthy and active through sport.”
The global coronavirus pandemic is affecting all families, businesses, communities, and way of life. Rapsodo believes times like these require action that unites and will be making nearly $80K in donations to charities during this time.
“On behalf of the board and staff at Right To Play, I would like to thank Rapsodo and their community of supporters for their very generous gift that will protect, educate, and empower the world’s most vulnerable children,” said Chelcey Remstad, National Director of Right to Play. “Rapsodo is giving kids access to quality education through our sport and play-based programs and remote initiatives. Rapsodo is also giving them the tools they need to stay healthy and safe. For that, we are most grateful and say thank you!”
We want to thank our customers for investing in themselves and our technology during these difficult times. This donation would not be possible if it weren’t for our customers,” said Okur.
