GCSAA showcases education, exhibitors and networking in virtual format
Lawrence, Kan. – Members of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) and others can now register for the 2021 Golf Industry Show, which will be presented in an interactive virtual format Feb. 2-4.
GCSAA and presenting partners, the Golf Course Builders Association of America (GCBAA) and American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA), will offer a virtual experience that will continue the GIS’s long tradition of connecting attendees, exhibitors and industry experts through a progressive week of unparalleled education opportunities and access to golf facility solutions for those in the golf industry.
Attendees, instructors and exhibitors can connect through networking opportunities with live video and chat features and can gather information at virtual booths and take information with them in virtual show bags. In addition to the education, trade show and special events that will take place on the virtual platform during the event, attendees will also have the option to view all the content for an extended period after the show concludes.
The interactive education, trade show and networking events are designed for the association’s 19,000 members, owners, operators, managers, and others in the industry.
The GCSAA Education Conference will be composed of 88 sessions taught either in a 15-minute, 30-minute or one-hour formats. Live, engaging interaction with educators and other attendees will be available. The lineup offers something for everyone on the golf course management team, including focused learning tracks for assistant superintendents, equipment managers, crew and on topics such as agronomy, environmental management and business management.
For the first time, facility packages are being offered to include the entire golf course management team for one price. The All-Access Facility Package includes all 88 education sessions, which can be viewed during the event the first week of February or on-demand with 30 days of extended access, the virtual trade show, networking events and more for $850 ($1,050 for non-GCSAA members) for an unlimited number of team members. Each team member will receive 3.0 continuing education points (CEUs). The Individual All-Access Package is available to GCSAA members for $600 ($750 for non-members). Other packages are also available.
“We truly have the ability to connect more industry professionals from all over the world than ever before with the virtual format,” GCSAA CEO Rhett Evans said. “And with the savings on travel costs, it is a tremendous value for every member of the team while still offering the high-quality education and innovations the GIS is known for.”
More than 450 exhibitors are expected to be a part of the virtual trade show. Attendees will be able to watch videos and live demonstrations and communicate with company representatives. Access to the trade show will be available during the event through March 6 for all registrants.
Other happenings during the three days will include daily general sessions, networking events where attendees can connect with peers in real time, special guests and prize drawings.
