BRENTWOOD, Tenn., – The MacNeill Pride Group confirms the winners of the PGA TOUR’s American Express and PGA TOUR Champions’ Mitsubishi Electric Championship relied on replaceable cleat solutions from CHAMP® and Softspikes®.
Capturing his third PGA TOUR title, the 25-year-old South Korean secured a one-shot victory with a final tally of 23-under-par at The American Express, which was contested across the PGA West Stadium Course and PGA West Nicklaus Tournament Course in La Quinta, CA. To ensure optimum traction at the desert venues he trusted CHAMP® Zarma Tour spikes in his Nike Air Zoom Victory Tour shoes. Beyond the winner, the top-three finishers all chose replaceable spikes in their respective footwear.
At the first event of the year on the PGA TOUR Champions circuit, the winner of the Mitsubishi Electric Championship, contested at the Hualalai Golf Club in Hawaii, relied on Pulsar from Softspikes® in his FootJoy Icon shoes. It was the Northern Irishman’s 23rd professional victory.
“Regardless of where in the world the top professionals are competing or what type of turf they are playing on, our replaceable cleats ensure optimal traction for improved distance and accuracy,” said John Hohman, senior vice president of marketing for PrideSports/MacNeill-Pride Group.
Replacement Softspikes® and CHAMP® cleats can be purchased in the golf section of most large retailers, sporting goods stores, golf specialty and golf course pro shops across the country. Cleats can also be purchased online from any of these locations, your favorite online store or directly from www.golfspikes.com.
PrideSports is the undisputed leader in the golf cleat segment with its CHAMP® and Softspikes® brands. The company recommends golfers change their cleats every six to eight months – or even more frequently based on use – to ensure golfers get the maximum performance out of their footwear.
CHAMP’s Helix®, Zarma Tour® and Stinger® cleats, as well as Softspikes’ Pivix®, Pulsar®, Silver Tornado™ and Stealth® cleats, dominate the OEM and secondary market in terms of performance and sales. More information can be found at www.champspikes.com and www.Softspikes.com.
