LAKE PARK, FLORIDA — Team JumboMax Member Retief Goosen earned his 39th professional victory at The Galleri Classic despite being three shots back at the turn. He was a perfect eight out of eight in scrambling for the day, a gutsy performance capped off with a downhill eight-foot par putt he made on the final hole to win for the first time since 2022 on the PGA Tour Champions.
“Thanks to JumboMax Grips for helping me get out of trouble,” the Hall of Famer wrote on social media.
Goosen used JumboMax’s Tour Series swing grips and a Mid-Jumbo putter grip at The Galleri Classic. Goosen’s Tour Series (size XS) swing grips weigh 90 grams, roughly twice the weight of the company’s popular JMX UltraLite swing grips in the same size.
The additional weight of Tour Series swing grips increases the stability of the grip and adds a counterbalancing effect that improves performance from the rough.
Other users of JumboMax Tour Series grips include Bryson DeChambeau (X-Large) and World Long Drive Champions Martin Borgmeier (Large) and Justin James (X-Large).
James claimed victory last weekend at the World Long Drive MB Invitational, his third WLD win in his last nine events.
