Greensboro, Georgia – Reynolds Lake Oconee has been recognized on two of Golfweek’s Best lists for 2023: Top 200 residential golf courses in the U.S. and the Top 200 resort courses in the U.S.
Reynolds Lake Oconee boasts some of the most diverse golf experiences in the southeast with courses designed by legendary architects: Great Waters by Jack Nicklaus, The National by Tom Fazio, The Oconee by Rees Jones, The Landing and The Preserve by Bob Cupp, as well as the members-only Creek Club by Jim Engh.
Placing on the residential list were Great Waters (#82) and Oconee (#149). On the top resort list were four courses: Great Waters (#62), Oconee (#108), The Preserve (#165), and National (#187)
Along with its highly regarded golf courses, Reynolds Lake Oconee features a full range of sporting activities, with access to more than 374 miles of Lake Oconee shoreline and four marinas; shooting sports at the Sandy Creek Sporting Grounds; walking trails, and an award-winning tennis center, together making it one of the most impressive community and golf destinations in the world.
Additionally, golfers can also be fitted for the latest equipment from TaylorMade at The Kingdom at Reynolds Lake Oconee. One of only two such facilities in the world, guests receive the same first-class experiences as PGA Tour professionals. A premier full-game improvement experience includes world class fitting and instruction, the Gears Golf system, clubs built onsite in a TaylorMade Tour Trailer, two fully enclosed hitting bays, three covered and heated hitting areas, TrackMan 4 launch monitors, and high-speed Ximea cameras.
Golfweek’s course-ratings panel continually evaluates courses and rates them based on 10 criteria. They also file a single, overall rating on each course. Those overall ratings on each course are averaged to produce a final, cumulative rating. Then each course is ranked against other courses in the region. These lists focus on the golf courses themselves, not the communities or resorts as a whole or other amenities.
At the heart of the Reynolds Lake Oconee community, southern hospitality merges with luxury at The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee. Drawing inspiration from the lake views and lush landscapes that encompass the waterfront retreat, recently renovated guest rooms and suites and guest experiences capture the spirit of lake life. Resort amenities include a full-service spa and fitness center, expansive meeting venues, Southern-inspired dining and outdoor activities including a family pool, cabanas and infinity pool overlooking the lake, Ritz Kids programing, fishing, jet-skiing, paddle boarding, and wakeboarding.
