(CHARLESTON, S.C.) — The National Golf Course Owners Association (NGCOA) announces that Congressman Richard Hudson (NC-09), co-chair of the Congressional Golf Caucus and Chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Communications and Technology, will appear as the special guest on the next episode of Golf Business LIVE.

Rep. Hudson will join Golf Business LIVE host and NGCOA CEO Jay Karen on Tuesday, April 28, at 11:30 a.m. ET. The conversation will preview the public policy and legislative priorities ahead of National Golf Day, which takes place from May 4-6 in Washington, D.C., exploring how Capitol Hill efforts intersect with the daily business realities of golf course owners and operators.

Topics of discussion will include the value of meetings with key congressional staff, evolving perceptions of golf’s broad economic and community impact, workforce solutions such as H-2B reforms, consumer protections around unauthorized tee-time resale, effective advocacy strategies and equitable access to federal disaster recovery programs for golf facilities.

“As co-chair of the Congressional Golf Caucus and a strong advocate for the game in his home state—including the world-renowned Pinehurst area—Rep. Hudson brings invaluable insight from Capitol Hill,” says Karen. “This episode is perfectly timed as our industry prepares for National Golf Day. We look forward to a candid discussion that equips course owners and operators with the knowledge needed to navigate policy challenges and strengthen golf’s voice in Washington.”

The live episode will stream on the NGCOA YouTube channel and LinkedIn. It offers golf professionals a unique opportunity to hear directly from one of the industry’s key champions on how legislative developments affect course operations, jobs and community roles.
