RISE Golf is a collaboration between First Tee – Greater Sacramento, Morton Golf, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, along with other local groups and community centers to bring golf and life skills programs to youth who would not otherwise have the opportunity to participate.
RISE stands for Reach, Inspire, Support, & Empower, “Promoting Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion through collaboration and intentional action.” The goal of RISE to educate the participant and the entire family about the benefits of golf and its inherent values and carry those benefits and values with them in life, regardless of whether if they continue the sport or not. This is a full-service program where participants are provided healthy meals, uniform golf attire, equipment, and any other needs to make an enjoyable and successful experience.
Since its inception, the RISE Golf program has grown with more kids and families discovering that the game is for everyone. This video shares a personal story on the impact that it is having on the youth in the Greater Sacramento region.
