Alabama – On Monday, August 10th, Alabama’s Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, in partnership with Gallus Golf, launched a major overhaul of their custom-branded mobile app. The custom app will not only include a robust Virtual Caddie for every hole of golf on The Trail, but also will include the following features and capabilities: contactless mobile tee-time booking and check-in fully integrated with their POS and Tee Sheet provided by Club Prophet Systems; full integration to GHIN and the World Handicap System for score posting and for scoring in the Gallus Tournament Wizard module that allows for live event scoring; offers and loyalty programs that can be built to be unique to The Trail; News and Content related to any current happenings at any of the courses; and most importantly maybe, the ability for The Trail to communicate with all of its downloaders down to the specific individual right through their smartphones.
Partnering with the RTJ marketing team, Gallus and its LaunchPad service, which is designed to help new apps launch successfully has resulted in nearly 4,500 new downloads in the very first week!
John Cannon, President of SunBelt Golf Corporation, which has developed and managed The Trail on behalf of the Retirement Systems of Alabama since its inception, says “what has stood out for us with Gallus has been not only a product that is head and shoulders above others in the industry, but their service and attention to our unique needs. They have taken the old phrase of ‘under-promise and over-deliver’ to new heights for us and we are excited to be able to offer our customers and guests a truly best-in-class experience with our new mobile app.”
About The Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail
Alabama’s Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail is the largest golf course construction project ever attempted. In the late 1980’s, Dr. David Bronner (CEO of Retirement Systems of Alabama) had the idea to use a hot (but clean-burning) vehicle like golf to boost tourism, attract retirees, and spur economic growth within the state. His vision was on a grand scale — big, really big. Dr. Bronner wasn’t looking to build just an 18 hole public golf course, he wanted to build 324 holes at seven spectacular sites throughout the entire state, and all at one time! Since it’s opening in 1992, The Trail has since grown to 468 holes at 11 unique locations and has hosted nearly 15 million golfers from all 50 states and over 30 foreign countries. | www.rtjgolf.com
