LAS VEGAS – The PGA of America National Awards ceremony took place on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at the Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa in Las Vegas, Nevada, where the PGA of America honored its 2025 National Award winners.
The presentation is a marquee event at the PGA of America’s 110th Annual Meeting, held this week (November 3–6) at the Red Rock Resort. The evening formally honors 12 standout Golf Professionals for their exceptional contributions to the game, leadership, and local communities.
“The PGA Annual Meeting is absolutely my favorite week of the year as a PGA of America Golf Professional,” said Acting PGA President Nathan Charnes. “I’ve always viewed the week as our Super Bowl – a chance to gather as leaders and celebrate our award winners, and also to reset and talk about the future.”
The ceremony featured top honors for Brian Crowell, PGA (Golf Professional of the Year), Bernie Najar, PGA (Teacher & Coach of the Year), and Sean Palmer, PGA (Golf Executive of the Year). SCPGA Member Robin Shelton joined the standout class and was honored as this year’s PGA of America Professional Development Award winner.
A PGA Master Professional and the General Manager of Newport Beach Country Club, Shelton has built a reputation as one of the golf industry’s premier leaders and mentors.
During his tenure as President of the Southern California PGA Section (2021–2022), Shelton championed peer education, leadership advancement, and member mentorship—work that previously earned him Section honors, including the SCPGA Tom Addis III Professional Development Award. His career-long dedication to elevating the profession culminated on the national stage when the PGA of America selected him as the recipient of the PGA Professional Development Award, honoring his lasting impact on workforce growth and the continuing education of PGA professionals across the country.
With this recognition, Shelton adds his name to an elite group of Southern California PGA Members recognized by the PGA of America as National Award winners, including recent national honorees Jamie Mulligan (Teacher & Coach of the Year) and Joe Grohman (Patriot Award) in 2021.
