-Barron touts success of the patented Ultra-Low Balance Point (ULBP) putters high praise-
CAMARILLO, CA, – Sacks Parente Golf Company (SPG), creators of exceptional putting instruments and a growing portfolio of golf shafts, grips and other golf-related products, has announced that PGA TOUR Champions player Doug Barron has signed an agreement to promote SPG.
“I chose Sacks Parente because I like the weight distribution of their putters. There is more weight distributed to the head without making a heavy putter. I can be athletic.” said Doug Barron. “I’ve won with a Sacks in 2020, a Series 66 on the Tour Champions. I played the 91 Tour Milled last week. I like the feel off the milled face. It depends on the greens. My distance control was really good, which helped my confidence that I needed on the Newport greens,” said Barron.
Doug turned Pro in 1992 and played on various tours, including the Web.com Tour, Nationwide Tour, Korn Ferry Tour, PGA Tour, and PGA Tour Champions. He won the 2006 PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament, the 2008 Peek’n Peak Classic on the Nationwide Tour, the 2019 Dick’s Sporting Goods Open, and the 2021 Shaw Charity Classicon the PGA Tour Champions playing the Sacks Parente Series 66 model.
“We are thrilled to have Doug as an Ambassador for SPG. He is a winner and a great addition to our growing list of tour players.” said Tim Triplett, CEO, Sacks Parente.
Barron played a new prototype Series 91 Tour Milled Blade during The Hoag Classic achieving a T2 finish. The Series 91 features the company’s patented Ultra Low Balance Point (ULBP) technology, defined as a balance point of less than five inches from the putter sole, which naturally squares and releases the putter head at impact. This technology incorporates proprietary ULBP ultra-light grips at approximately 33 grams, and carbon fiber shafts at about one gram per inch. The result is up to two times better feel and more control than any putter with a conventional steel shaft.
This weight-forward design with 50 grams of Tungsten distributed heel and toe, positions the center of gravity in alignment with the hosel providing no-skid roll and allows the ball to hold its line with less than 2% energy loss on off-center putts.
All Sacks Parente putting instruments contain the patented ULBP technology, face forward CG, and ultra-high MOI.Test results from Golf Labs prove that these putting instruments help golfers make more putts because of improved swing path, improved tempo, more distance control, better head release/closure, and more putter head feel.
