Andy Short, General Manager, came back to the course in 2019 after previously being at the facility for eight years as the Director of Golf. Andy was looking for ways to price high demand tee times, strategically fill the white space on his tee sheet, and grow his direct to consumer business.
Filling the white space and capturing new revenue
Before using the Sagacity platform, Andy monitored his tee sheet daily and made price adjustments to tee times that were selling fast. He knew he couldn’t keep up with the most beneficial adjustments, so he turned to Sagacity’s Forecaddie platform for help.

This additional boost strategically prices the tee times that need promotion, while also reducing the white space on the tee sheet. Since launching the widget in 2019, Andy has noticed that the white space on his tee sheet has dramatically improved and 88% of the Daily Deals times sold are off-peak.
Text club drives revenue growth
When Rancho Mañana launched their Daily Deals text club in March of 2020 they saw the opportunity to increase rounds sold from the widget by using their existing marketing channels to promote their text club along with widget tee times.
Before the text club, Rancho Mañana was averaging 30 rounds a week through its Daily Deals widget. After launching an email promotion to their customer database, text club membership surged over 500 and rounds increased to 120 rounds per week. This increase in rounds translated to an increase in revenue of 28%. The course can easily change the automated text club schedule and tee time criteria so messages only get sent when low demand tee times match.
To continually promote Daily Deals to Rancho Mañana’s customers, Sagacity Golf created an automated email campaign to promote their tee times and text club every week.
