Gardner and Woods to join Davante Adams and Natalie Gulbis in skills challenge competition on final day of T-Mobile Match Play Presented by MGM Rewards

Players Challenge Presented by BODYARMOR Sports Drink
The T-Mobile Match Play presented by MGM Rewards announced that the final day of the LPGA tournament April 2-6 at Shadow Creek will include the “Players Challenge Presented by BODYARMOR Sports Drink,” a nine-hole, two-person team skills challenge showcasing professional football superstars and LPGA greats to be played Sunday, April 6. The scramble will be played prior to the T-Mobile Match Play championship matchup and will be featured during the live GOLF Channel broadcast. Hope Means Nevada has been selected as the event’s beneficiary and will receive a $25,000 donation from MGM Resorts International.

The teams for the scramble will be Davante Adams and Cheyenne Woods vs. Sauce Gardner and Natalie Gulbis.
Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner – Gardner is a two-time All-Pro cornerback for the New York Jets and was named the league’s Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2022. The fourth overall pick in the 2022 draft out of the University of Cincinnati, he was the first rookie cornerback since Ronnie Lott in 1981 to be named first-team All-Pro.
Cheyenne Woods – Woods played professional golf from 2012-2021, appearing in 10 major championships. A recent inductee into the Wake Forest Sports Hall of Fame, she won the 2011 ACC Championship as a junior and made her professional debut the following summer at the LPGA Championship. Woods won the 2014 Volvik RACV Ladies Masters on the Ladies European Tour.
Davante Adams – Adams is a three-time First Team All-Pro wide receiver. Drafted in 2014 by the Green Bay Packers, he joined the Las Vegas Raiders in 2022, and has surpassed both teams’ franchise records for receiving yards in a single season. After recording his fifth consecutive 1,000-yard season splitting the 2024 season with the Raiders and New York Jets, he signed a two-year contract with the Los Angeles Rams this offseason.
Natalie Gulbis – Gulbis, a Las Vegas resident and MGM Rewards ambassador, made her professional debut in 1997 and has played regularly on the LPGA Tour since 2002. She has appeared on three victorious U.S. Solheim Cup teams (2005, 2007, and 2009) and won the 2007 Evian Masters.
ABOUT THE T-MOBILE MATCH PLAY PRESENTED BY MGM REWARDS:
The fifth annual T-Mobile Match Play presented by MGM Rewards is scheduled to return to Shadow Creek in Las Vegas April 2-6, 2025. Nelly Korda will look to defend her title as she and her fellow competitors vie for the $2 million purse.
The 64-player field is a showcase of the world’s best female professional golfers. As was the format for the first three years, the players ill be divided into 16 groups of four, with three days of round-robin matches deciding the final 16-player bracket. The tournament will proceed over the weekend with single-elimination matches determining the two players who will face off in Sunday afternoon’s championship match. The 2025 event features Korda, MGM Resorts Ambassador Danielle Kang (tournament sponsor exemption), Brooke Henderson, Lydia Ko, Minjee Lee, Hinako Shibuno, Jenny Shin, Ina Yoon (tournament sponsor exemption) and Rose Zhang.
