Schremmer, winner of two of first three college events at Miami, to compete at The ANNIKA as a sponsor invitation from Pelican Golf Club
BELLEAIR, Fla. – University of Miami sophomore and preseason All-American Scarlett Schremmer – who captured two individual titles in Miami’s first three events of the 2026-27 season – will tee it up against the best players in the world as a sponsor invitation to The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican. The penultimate event on the 2026 LPGA Tour schedule, The ANNIKA takes place Nov. 11-15 at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Fla.
Schremmer will make her LPGA Tour debut at The ANNIKA. Pelican Golf Club, host venue and tournament owners of The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican, awarded the sponsor invitation to Schremmer.
“One of our goals through The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican is to elevate women’s sports and the game’s future stars,” said Justin Sheehan, Chief Operating Officer and Director of Golf, Pelican Golf Club. “On behalf of Pelican Golf Club and the Doyle family, we are thrilled to offer Scarlett an invitation to compete in this year’s tournament. She is a tremendous college athlete who has had a great season at Miami thus far. We look forward to welcoming her to Pelican Golf Club for her first LPGA Tour event in November.”
The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Golfer of the Month in September, Schremmer turned in a record-setting performance at her second individual college win at the Golfweek Red Sky Classic. She carded a three-day total of 17-under par, the second-lowest 54-hole individual score in Miami women’s golf history.
The Birmingham, Ala., native was a three-time Rolex Junior All-American (2023-25), a member of the 2024 United States Junior Solheim Cup Team and is a two-time participant at the Augusta National Women’s Amateur. Her mother, Patricia Ehrhart, is a former LPGA Tour professional who was the season-long money winner on the 1996 Duramed Futures Tour (now Epson Tour).
“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to compete against the best players in the world on the LPGA at The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican in November,” said Schremmer. “Thank you to Pelican Golf Club for this unbelievable opportunity. My mom played on the LPGA Tour, and it has always been my goal to follow in her footsteps. Making my LPGA debut at Annika’s event, someone I’ve looked up to my entire golf career, is very special.”
Prior to taking up golf, Schremmer was a competitive surfer. She was a three-time under-18 national shortboard champion before transitioning to golf. The late award-winning singer/songwriter Jimmy Buffett, a close family friend, sponsored Schremmer during her time as a competitive surfer and remained close to the family until his passing in 2023.
Schremmer joins the tournament’s first two sponsor invitations that were previously announced – Wake Forest senior All-American Macy Pate and Epson Tour winner Annabelle Pancake-Webb – as the tournament’s three sponsor invites for The ANNIKA.
The ANNIKA, Tampa Bay’s annual LPGA Tour event and the penultimate event on the 2026 LPGA Tour schedule, is hosted by World Golf and LPGA Hall-of-Fame member Annika Sörenstam and takes place Nov. 11-15 at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Fla. The tournament will offer a $3.25 million purse – one of the largest outside the major championships – with proceeds benefiting the ANNIKA Foundation.
Tickets are on sale for The ANNIKA exclusively online at www.TheANNIKA.com/tickets and via SeatGeek. Ticket offerings include premier hospitality and general admission tickets offering a wide degree of entertainment and access. All tickets will be digital and will be made electronically after purchase.
Linn Grant captured her second LPGA Tour win in 2025 at The ANNIKA by three strokes at 19-under par, one shy of the tournament record. It was the second time Grant received a trophy from Sörenstam. Grant won the Scandinavian Mixed in Sweden when Sörenstam and Henrik Stenson were co-hosts. World No. 1 Nelly Korda is a three-time winner at The ANNIKA (2021, 2022 and 2024). Lilia Vu captured her fourth LPGA Tour win at The ANNIKA in 2023, and Sei Young Kim won the inaugural event in 2020.
