A strong turnout, intensive learning, and enthusiastic feedback: the SAM Putting Instructor Level 1 and Level 2 Certifications in Beijing on October 19–20 reinforced Science & Motion’s position as a leader in putting analysis, coaching, and training technology in Asia.
More than 50 participants joined the SAM Putting Instructor certification and workshop event at Cedar Valley Golf Academy in Beijing.
Led by SAM PuttLab inventor Dr. Christian Marquardt, together with our Asian distributor Dr. Rock Wu, the event brought more than 50 participants together for two days of putting expertise and practical application. Chinese translation and translated learning materials made the course content accessible to the local audience.
From Objective Data to Better Coaching
The certifications connected the science of putting with the decisions coaches make every day. Participants explored how to interpret SAM PuttLab data, understand the relationships between stroke parameters, and translate their findings into targeted training.
Meeting Dr. Marquardt in person brought an additional dimension to the learning experience – with opportunities to ask questions, discuss individual coaching challenges, and learn directly from the inventor of SAM PuttLab.
SAM Projection Makes an Impression
Beyond the certifications, training sessions and workshops gave participants the opportunity to experience SAM technology firsthand. The possibilities of the new SAM Projection system generated particular enthusiasm, demonstrating how interactive projection and ball tracking bring putting practice to life.
From immediate visual feedback to engaging training tasks, the demonstrations showed how SAM connects precise measurement with practical, interactive learning – giving coaches more ways to explain, train, and improve putting performance.
