ONTARIO, California – The Southern California PGA Section (SCPGA) is pleased to welcome its fourth PGA WORKS Fellow, with the onboarding of Nina Piscitello this week at the SCPGA Headquarters for a 6-month internship opportunity.
The PGA WORKS Fellowship program provides a 6-month paid Fellowship at the SCPGA Section headquarters in Ontario, CA, which is aimed to deliver an experience that provides valuable insight for pursuing a career in the golf industry.
Ms. Piscitello hails from California Baptist University, where she will graduate in May and look to further her education in a post-graduate opportunity. No stranger to the golf world, Ms. Piscitello has worked three summers at Darkhorse Golf Club in Auburn, CA, where she has experience with golf operations and junior camps. She has also spent time working for Salted City Sports, where she completed an internship in the Social Media Marketing department.
“I am thrilled to join and contribute to the SCPGA Foundation team as the new PGA WORKS Fellow. This position offers the perfect balance of strategic thinking and hands-on experience, allowing me to grow in my career in the golf industry,” said PGA WORKS Fellow Nina Piscitello when asked about her new position.
The primary responsibilities of Ms. Piscitello will be to support and execute philanthropic activities for the Southern California PGA Section and Foundation, including PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) and other philanthropic programs, as well as junior golf programming, such as PGA Jr. League and Drive, Chip & Putt. Additionally, Ms. Piscitello will play an integral role in assisting with marketing communications and events for Section Members.
