Sunset Beach, N.C. — Sea Trail Golf Resort unveiled its newly renovated state-of-the-art Convention Center at a ribbon cutting ceremony held Tuesday, March 19, 2024. Sea Trail Investments, LLC, which is co-owned by Robert Hill and Donald Bean, who are co-owners of Riptide Builders, Parker Smith, owner of Golf Trek, and entrepreneur Sandesh Sharda, closed on the purchase of the Convention Center in March 2023.
The ribbon cutting ceremony was attended by numerous community members, including Sea Trail residents, business leaders, local government officials and members of the Brunswick County Chamber of Commerce.
“The re-opening of the Convention Center marks a significant milestone in Sea Trail Golf Resort’s ongoing commitment to providing unparalleled hospitality and amenities for our guests,” said Julie Chortanoff, company spokesperson. “Millions of dollars have been invested in this revitalization, and we were thrilled to finally officially unveil Sea Trail’s state-of-the-art Convention Center.”
“This revitalization allows us to cater to a wider range of events, from corporate conferences and trade shows to weddings and special celebrations, and we are confident the Convention Center will enhance the overall guest experience and further establish Sea Trail Golf Resort as a premier destination along the North and South Carolina coasts,” said Chortanoff. “Our Event Sales Coordinator, Rebecca Pittman, has already booked events, including the Chamber’s Wine, Women, and Chocolate event held earlier this month, a local prom, and a wedding later this fall that includes golf and accommodations.”
The revitalization of the Convention Center includes significant interior design updates along with updates to lighting, floors, signage, landscaping and the roof. Additionally, the Convention Center now features two dining venues, 55 Bistro Bar and Sunset Slice, providing a full range of entertainment options including multiple televisions with Direct TV, TouchTunes, Golden Tee, a pool table and BullShooter Dart Boards.
The adjacent 15-acre tract of land, which will feature several key resort components, will be anchored by Sea Trail Golf Resort’s future hotel site directly adjacent to the Convention Center.
