SEOUL, South Korea – Every golfer and coach understands the importance of feel, yet what happens between the hands and the club throughout the swing has remained difficult to measure. While modern golf technology has transformed how players analyze ball flight, club performance, and body movement, the interaction between the golfer’s hands and the club remains a largely unexplored dimension.
SGLAB Inc. is addressing this gap with the global Kickstarter launch of G·GRIP Pro, introducing an intelligent golf club with embedded sensing technology that measures grip pressure and 3D club motion without external attachments.
By integrating pressure and motion sensors directly into the grip, G·GRIP Pro brings grip pressure mapping, 3D club motion tracking, and AI-powered analysis together in the G·GRIP app. Golfers and coaches can review data after each swing, compare swings, and track changes over time—connecting what players feel with what the club actually measures.
“Today’s golfers have access to more performance data than ever before—from the ball, the club, and even the body,” said Eddie Cho, Founder and CEO of SGLAB and a PGA Professional. “We started with a simple question: what if the equipment itself, the training process, and precise measurement could all come together seamlessly as one? By bringing intelligence directly into the club, we want to make objective feedback a natural part of how golfers practice and improve.”
During beta testing across the United States, the United Kingdom, Korea, and Japan, tour professionals and competitive golfers began sharing their G·GRIP Pro data with coaches to explore the relationship between grip pressure, club movement, and swing performance.
These early interactions highlight how embedded sensing technology can introduce a new dimension of objective feedback into golf instruction. SGLAB is expanding conversations with teaching professionals and academies interested in exploring grip intelligence within their coaching environments.
Available on Kickstarter in both 7-iron and putter configurations, as well as multi-club bundles, G·GRIP Pro enables players and instructors to examine hand-club dynamics across full swings and putting strokes.
SGLAB has received multiple CES Innovation Awards and a Special Mention in TIME’s Best Inventions of 2025. Ahead of its planned showcase at the 2027 PGA Show in Orlando, the company welcomes opportunities to connect with PGA Professionals, teaching academies, and industry partners interested in the next generation of intelligent golf equipment.
