INAUGURAL BATTLE AT THE BEACH PRESENTED BY SHORT PAR 4 DEEMED A SUCCESS
Short Par 4, the #1 “Hand Curated Box” for golfers everywhere, was the presenting sponsor for the inaugural Battle at the Beach. The 24 two-man teams battled it out along the Atlantic Ocean at Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast, FL., from March 8th through March 10th.
The teams competed in a 54-hole stroke play format. The top five teams competed in a sudden death shoot out on the 18th hole of the Ocean Course, designed by Jack Nicklaus. The two-day battle was ultimately won by Jacob Sanborn and Corey Carrick (Coobs). A clutch par save during a sudden death shootout thwarted runners-up Trey Sanders and Damon Noisette’s efforts.

The Battle at the Beach was founded by Melissa and Bryan LaRoche of BryanGolf, LLC. This is the company’s second golf tournament that they have launched and organized. They have two more golf tournaments slated for later this year in Florida. Their goal is to create four to five events a year that are affordable and gather people from all over the world.
