Comedian will have audiences laughing during the Closing Celebration.
Actor and comedian Sinbad, known for his movie and television roles as well as his standup routines, will entertain the audience at the Closing Celebration, Feb. 7, the final day of the 2019 Golf Industry Show in San Diego. The Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA), which annually hosts the industry’s largest golf course management trade show, made the announcement on behalf of its 18,000 members and the Closing Celebration sponsor John Deere Golf.
“We are excited to have Sinbad join us at GIS,” GCSAA CEO Rhett Evans said. “His style of comedy is great for all ages, and it will be an entertaining end to the golf course management industry’s biggest week of the year.”
Sinbad’s performance will be the finale of the week of educational, exhibitor and networking opportunities available Feb. 2-7 at the GIS, which includes the GCSAA Golf Championships, the GCSAA Education Conference and the industry trade show. The GIS will offer a dynamic, progressive week of unparalleled networking opportunities and hands-on access to golf course and facility management solutions for golf industry professionals. GCSAA will also host marquee events to recognize its annual award winners, including the Powell Family, 2019 recipient of the Old Tom Morris Award.
