“Arnie’s Army Legacy Experience” to showcase Mr. Palmer’s letters, artifacts, and memorabilia at the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard
ORLANDO, Fla. – The Arnold & Winnie Palmer Foundation is launching “Sincerely, Arnold Palmer – the Latrobe Legacy Campaign” campaign, inviting the world of golf to carry forward Mr. Palmer’s legacy in Latrobe, Pa. so that new generations may experience and enjoy Latrobe just as he did. For more than 50 years, Arnold Palmer has been part of golf’s daily conversation. The Arnold & Winnie Palmer Foundation’s objective is to make sure that 50 years from now, Mr. Palmer remains a central part of that conversation. The legacy campaign will share stories from Latrobe, Bay Hill, and everywhere the Palmers mattered.
Inspired by his prolific correspondence with the public, “Sincerely, Arnold Palmer” will illuminate and expand upon the far-reaching paper trail of the Palmers’ signature values and global impact. Launching at the 2023 Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard, the Foundation will make Mr. Palmer’s legendary collection of letters, artifacts, and memorabilia available to the public to engage with, to impart his legacy and values to new generations.
“The goal of this campaign is to ensure Latrobe’s long-term integrity, accessibility, and impact,” said Ken Boehner, Chairman and President of the Arnold & Winnie Palmer Foundation. “The Foundation will continue the role that Mr. Palmer played in inspiring dreams, building character, and shaping the game of golf from its humble grounds.”
Throughout tournament week, the Arnold & Winnie Palmer Foundation will host an immersive, hands-on “Arnie’s Army Legacy Experience” at the Lexington Cottage near the 18th green, offering a special, interactive opportunity to engage with the Palmer legacy.

Since the founding of Latrobe Country Club in 1920, three generations of Palmers have been its caretakers. After more than 100 years, the Arnold & Winnie Palmer Foundation is inviting the game of golf to have the same opportunity.
Latrobe Country Club was where Mr. Palmer could be the most “Arnold.” The course, clubhouse, and community shaped his love for people and golf, formed his character and personality, and built a life that sincerely inspired others. The Foundation plans to share Latrobe — a place where the entire game of golf can embrace the Palmer values, live life as Arnie did every day, and uncover new stories along the way.
“Sincerely, Arnold Palmer” is an open invitation to the world of golf to carry forward Mr. Palmer’s legacy in Latrobe, so that new generations may experience and enjoy it just as he did. Through their generous gifts, caretakers of Latrobe will cement their place within the Palmer legacy and establish Latrobe as one of golf’s enduring destinations.
