Melbourne, FL – Slopegraide, the iOS app that provides real-time green reading, speed, and distance control training on your mobile device, has released Slopegraide AR, a new feature that displays a rolling model of any putt in augmented reality.
Slopegraide AR uses the LiAR scanner available on select iPhone and iPad Pro devices to accurately calculate the slope of any putt on the green and uses this information to provide a rolling model of a putt that is equivalent to rolling a ball on the green.
“We’re excited to bring this new feature to our app, for this is something we have been working on for a long time” said Jeff Mocini, Founder and Inventor of Slopegraide. “Slopegraide AR is going to help many golfers visualize the speed and path of their putts from their point of view.”
Slopegraide AR also provides an approximation of putt length and the uphill or downhill incline, which shortens the process of getting the read of a putt in the app. An approximate backstroke length to create the desired rolling speed is also provided.
Another benefit of this new augmented reality mode is the support of getting accurate reads of putts that break in more than one direction.
“Our current smart ball markers are only able to provide a recommended start line for single-breaking putts” said Mocini. “Our new augmented reality mode has addressed the scenario of double-breaking putts and provides a great visualization tool for all golfers.”
Slopegraide AR supports any green speed between 6 and 15 on the Stimpmeter and the rolling speed of putts can also be customized to the golfer’s preference, from dead weight putts to aggressive putts.
Slopegraide is a digital training device and is not allowed in competition.
Slopegraide AR is only available on the iOS app and users must have an iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, or an iPad Pro from 2020 and later in order to access this new feature.
The new update to the Slopegraide app is available to download on the App Store and golfers with an eligible iPhone or iPad Pro can try Slopegraide AR for free for 7 days if they select an annual in-app subscription to Slopegraide Premium, which provides most of the app’s features. Golfers can also access Slopegraide AR for 90 days if they pre-order a Slopegraide smart ball marker.
“We firmly believe that golfers are going to putt better and develop confidence in their putting stroke in a short amount of time after using Slopegraide,” said Mocini. “The addition of this new feature has now made the Slopegraide app one of the best green reading apps in the world.”
