BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – The MacNeill Pride Group confirms winners of the PGA Tour’s Palmetto Championship at Congaree, Korn Ferry Tour’s BMW Charity Pro-Am and PGA Tour Champions’ American Family Insurance Championship, all relied on replaceable spikes from either CHAMP® or Softspikes®.
Capturing his first PGA Tour victory in just his second start, the 22-year-old South African winner at the Palmetto Championship at Congaree was among 22 of the top 30 finishers at the event who chose replaceable cleats over spikeless options. His preferred spikes were the Metal Stingers from CHAMP®, which he used in his FootJoy Premier shoes.
At the Korn Ferry Tour’s BMW Charity Pro-Am, held at Thornblade Club in Greer, SC, the winner relied on Pulsar from Softspikes® in his FootJoy Premier shoes to capture his third win this season and secure his PGA Tour membership for 2022. Meanwhile, at the American Family Insurance Championship, the winner recorded his second victory in a row with the Cyclone model from Softspikes®.
“The overwhelming number of winners on all other major tours this season have trusted replaceable spikes to help them maximize distance and accuracy,” said John Hohman, senior vice president of marketing for PrideSports/MacNeill-Pride Group.
Replacement Softspikes® and CHAMP® cleats can be purchased in the golf section of most large retailers, sporting goods stores, golf specialty and golf course pro shops across the country. Cleats can also be purchased online from any of these locations, your favorite online store or directly from www.golfspikes.com.
PrideSports is the undisputed leader in the golf cleat segment with its CHAMP® and Softspikes® brands. The company recommends golfers change their cleats every six to eight months – or even more frequently based on use – to ensure golfers get the maximum performance out of their footwear.
CHAMP’s Helix®, Zarma Tour® and Stinger® cleats, as well as Softspikes’ Pivix®, Pulsar®, Silver Tornado™ and Stealth® cleats, dominate the OEM and secondary market in terms of performance and sales. More information can be found at www.champspikes.com and www.Softspikes.com.
