Brentwood, Tenn.  – Players choosing to compete wearing Softspikes® in their golf shoes claimed a clean sweep of victories across all three of the main professional golf tours on Sunday, with two wins for Tour Flex Pro.

In St. Simons Island in Georgia, at the RSM Classic, the winner captured an emotional first PGA Tour title with a birdie on the 72ndhole to move 1 shot clear of his nearest competitor. Wearing a combo of Tour Flex Pro and UA S3 spikes in his Under Armour golf shoes, the 29-year-old vaults up to 51st position on the FedEx Cup Fall rankings courtesy of the $1,368,00 winner’s check. He also becomes the 38th PGA Tour winner to do so wearing spikes in the past 41 events. Additionally, 29 of the top 34 finishers at Sea Island Golf Club chose to play in replaceable spikes versus a spikeless alternative.

Down under in Australia, at the rain-shortened BMW Australian Championship on the DP World Tour, it was another maiden victory for the winner, who wearing Pulsar spikes in his FootJoy Premiere Series shoes, produced a final round of 67 to secure a two-shot win and an all-important 2-year tour exemption.

At the CME Group Tour Championship, the LPGA Tour’s grand-finale, the winner, wearing a combo of Tour Flex Pro and Silver Tornado spikes in her Nike golf shoes, claimed the largest prize in women’s golf – $4 million, thanks to a final round 65. The win vaulted her up to 4th place in The CME Globe Points list.

“I’m delighted to see our winning stretch on the PGA Tour continue this weekend, with another player trusting Tour Flex Pro enroute to maiden title on the biggest stage in golf. On the LPGA Tour, at their season finale, it was also especially pleasing to see the winner wearing Tour Flex Pro as she claimed the biggest title of her career,” commented Joe Henderson, President, Softspikes.

Tour players change grips and traction regularly based on course conditions, but amateur golfers rarely think about the impact wearing spikes has on consistency and distance. To achieve optimal performance benefits, golfers should be switching up their spikes every 15 rounds.
