Softspikes Dominates With Four Professional Victories in Single Week

January 26, 2026

Brentwood, Tenn.,  – Softspikes replaceable spikes recorded four professional victories across major tours worldwide in a single week, reinforcing their position as the preferred traction choice when performance matters most.

The week’s highlight came at the PGA Tour’s California desert event, where the winner closed with a six-under-par 66 to finish at 27-under and capture a four-shot victory. Competing in Nike footwear fitted with Tour Flex Pro, the champion relied on consistent traction through firm, fast conditions that placed a premium on stability from tee to green.

The performance reflected a broader trend on the leaderboard: 38 of the top 43 finishers chose replaceable spikes over spikeless footwear during the week, demonstrating the trust tour professionals place in traditional spike technology when conditions demand maximum grip and control.

Softspikes continued its winning streak on the DP World Tour, where a four-shot victory at a flagship Dubai event saw the champion compete in new Under Armour footwear fitted with a Softspikes TFP/S-Cleat configuration. On a championship layout known for tightly mown fairways and slick surfaces, assured footing proved crucial throughout the week.

Additional victories came on PGA Tour Champions, where the season-opener was won by a player in FootJoy footwear with Tour Flex Pro, and on the Korn Ferry Tour, where the winner competed in TravisMathew footwear also fitted with Softspikes Tour Flex Pro.

“Week after week, across every major tour, we’re seeing the same story,” said Joe Henderson. “When conditions get firm and players need complete trust in their footing, they’re choosing Softspikes. Four wins globally in the same week demonstrates that our spikes continue to set the standard at the highest level.”

Tour players routinely change spikes based on course conditions, but many amateur golfers overlook traction’s impact on consistency and distance. For optimal performance, golfers should replace spikes every 15 rounds.
