Softspikes Extends PGA Tour Winning Streak To 29 Consecutive Weeks

July 29, 2026

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. — Softspikes continued its remarkable run of success on the PGA TOUR this weekend, with the winner of the 3M Championship extending the run of PGA TOUR victories in replaceable spikes to 29 consecutive weeks.

The champion trusted a combination of Softspikes Tour Flex Pro and ProStinger spikes to secure the title, extending a streak that has now lasted throughout every week of the 2026 PGA TOUR season.

The result was supported by another strong showing across the leaderboard, with 27 of the top 33 finishers choosing replaceable Softspikes over spikeless and tennis-style footwear.

The latest victory follows last week’s PGA TOUR success at the Corales Puntacana Championship and underlines the continued preference for replaceable traction among the game’s leading players.

“This is now 29 consecutive weeks in which a PGA TOUR winner has trusted replaceable spikes, and that consistency speaks for itself,” said Joe Henderson, President of Softspikes. “It is not simply about the winner each week. The number of players throughout the leaderboard choosing replaceable traction continues to demonstrate the performance advantage they believe it provides.”

Softspikes also recorded victories on two further tours this weekend. The winner of the ISPS HANDA Senior Open Championship competed in FootJoy footwear fitted with Cyclone spikes, while the Evans Scholars Invitational champion secured victory wearing Nike footwear fitted with a combination of Tour Flex Pro and Silver Tornado spikes.

With wins across the PGA TOUR, PGA TOUR Champions and Korn Ferry Tour, the weekend provided further evidence of the continued dominance of replaceable spikes throughout professional golf.

Tour players routinely change spikes based on course conditions, but many amateur golfers overlook traction’s impact on consistency and distance. For optimal performance, golfers should replace spikes every 15 rounds.
