Softspikes PGA Tour Winning Run Reaches 31 Consecutive Weeks

August 10, 2026

Brentwood, Tenn. – Softspikes has extended its remarkable PGA TOUR winning run to 31 consecutive weeks following another victory at the Wyndham Championship.

The winner secured a three-shot victory wearing FootJoy footwear fitted with Tour Flex Pro spikes, continuing a run that has now seen a player wearing replaceable spikes win on the PGA TOUR in every week of the 2026 season to date.

The strength of spike usage throughout the field was equally emphatic, with 43 of the top 47 finishers at the Wyndham Championship choosing replaceable Softspikes over spikeless or tennis-style footwear.

With attention now turning to the opening event of the FedExCup Playoffs, the numbers underline how firmly spikes remain established among the game’s leading players. Of the 70 players who qualified for the Playoffs, just eight are wearing spikeless or tennis-style footwear, meaning almost nine out of every ten will begin the postseason competing in spikes.

“This has been an extraordinary season for spikes on the PGA TOUR, and reaching 31 consecutive weeks really demonstrates the consistency of what we are seeing at the highest level,” said Joe Henderson, President of Softspikes. “The fact that 62 of the 70 players heading into the FedExCup Playoffs are also competing in spikes makes the message even clearer. When the season reaches its most important stage, the overwhelming majority of players continue to choose the traction and performance of spikes.”

Softspikes also recorded victory on the Korn Ferry Tour at the Pinnacle Bank Championship, where the winner wore FootJoy footwear fitted with Pulsar spikes.

The victory came after a remarkable final-round 59, including an eight-under-par back nine, before the title was secured in a playoff. The performance provided another example of Softspikes being trusted during the decisive moments of elite professional competition.

With the PGA TOUR now moving into the FedExCup Playoffs, Softspikes enters the postseason having maintained its winning presence across all 31 weeks of the season so far.

Tour players routinely change spikes based on course conditions, but many amateur golfers overlook traction’s impact on consistency and distance. For optimal performance, golfers should replace spikes every 15 rounds.
